Congratulations to Academy students Eve, Lily, Skye, Morgan, Gabby and Lily who are all spending Christmas appearing in the pantomime "Jack and the Beanstalk" at The Radlett Centre for Upstage Productions! We hope you have an amazing Christmas girls and can't wait to come and watch! 

Our Lower Juniors, Upper Juniors, Inters and Company spent this term working towards an Acting Showcase with students working on monologues, duologues, small group scenes and sketches. Each group finished the term by performing their showcase at The Cube Theatre. Congratulations to everyone who took part!

Such a fantastic week at Summer School! Our Musical Theatre students focused on La La Land working on singing and dancing medleys which we'll show case in next year's shows! Our Acting Students worked on lots of different scripts throughout the week including writing their own comedic scenes.

Our Lower School performed their Summer Show "Tonight's The Night" at The Radlett Centre. The show featured extracts from Big, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Seussical, Sister Act, Joseph, Encanto, Les Miserable, School of Rock and Everybody's Talking About Jamie! So proud of all of our Lower School for such a great show! 

Congratulations to our lovely Seniors Alysia, Sienna and Lucy who are spending Christmas performing in the panto "Snow White & The Seven Dwarves" at The Radlett Centre for Upstage productions this year!

Huge congratulations to our wonderful Harley who has been cast as young Harry in the West End production of "Harry Potter and The Cursed Child". Harley opens in the show in October and follows in Academy student Darcy's footsteps who played Lily Potter Jnr in 2018! So proud of you Harley - hard work definitely pays off! 

Our Company performed for one last time together, recreating some of their favourite Academy medleys and routines from over the years! They worked together as a team to put the showcase together as one final project as Academy Kids! Such a fab way to end their Academy journey and finish off the year for them all! 

In July it was our Lower School student's turn to take the stage with their Summer Show "The Show Must Go On"! Such a fantastic weekend, we had to add an extra show due to demand for tickets! Well done to all of our Lower School for working so hard and being so brilliant! We are so proud of you all!!! Can't wait for next year!

The first performing arts school in the UK to get their students back on stage! We worked closely with The Radlett Centre to ensure all Government Guidelines were followed and after a lot of very careful planning were able to get out students back in a theatre performing to a live audience for the first time in 14 months! 

Our Inters, Senior and Company worked on the original play "Zooming Out". Based on "Stepping Out" by Richard Harris, we had a lot of fun working on this play, especially looking at character development! Very well done to all our Inters, Senior and Company members for such a great job working online! 

Back online but as ever thrilled to see such amazing commitment from our Academy Kids! This term our students from Juniors to Company are working on performances of online plays as well as prepping for The Academy Factor and our Dance Showcase! Keep up the brilliant work and we can't wait to be back in the studios soon!

After several requests from students we have added Tap classes to our timetable! So pleased to have been able to launch in person before moving back online for Lockdown 2.0! Looking forward to continuing with our Tap lessons online and teaching our students a new skill! Goal: to to have learnt all our timeseps by Xmas! 

Fantastic site visit today to The Bushey Arena making sure we are ready to welcome all of our students back to the studios! A group of our wonderful Upper Senior Boys have got together to create their own podcast! "Afternoon Cuppa" is available on Spotify and itunes! The boys are holding "Musical Theatre Week" from 12th-16th May and invited The Academy's Creative Director Sara onto the show as their first special guest! 

As the first of our "lockdown socials" we hosted a Quiz Night for The Academy Kids and their families, testing their knowledge on Musical Theatre, Academy history and how well they know their teachers! Congratulations to the Finestone Family who won the quiz by 1/2 a point to the Joseph family! 

Our Lower and Upper Seniors were invited to perform in a West End Gala at The Shaftesbury Theatre in London! 

The Academy Kids performed routines from 3 musicals: "Bring It On", "Big" and "Les Misérables". We are so very proud of our Seniors for their performance! Well done all of you! 

Our Company members took part in a West End Gala at The Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End! We performed "Come From Away" & "The Prom"! Such a great experience for our Company who all behaved like true professionals!

Our fifth annual Drama Battle took place this year at The Pump House Theatre! We had over 100 children compete in this year's competition, which was judged by actress Victoria Stedeford. Congratulations to everyone who took part - fantastic work from you all! 

This year we had not 1 but 2 weeks of Summer School with some incredible West End Workshops including: Millie from "Six", Kelly from "Hamilton", James from "9 to 5", Lisa from "West Side Story" and Elliot from "Tarzan". As always we finished with a showcase of the weeks work! 

The Academy Kids were delighted to be invited to open this year's "Festival in the Park" to mark the end of Bushey Festival! We opened the event with a bespoke "On Your Feet" medley before taking to the main stage and our soloists ranging in age from 4-16.

Our Company were delighted to be asked to reprise their "Hamilton" Medley at Barnet Hospital Charity's Summer Spectacular from Summer Show 2018! The show also featured our Senior Nate who acted as compere for night! A fantastic night had by all!

Congratulations to all of our Seniors who took part in this years production of Willy Russell's "Our Day Out" - it was especially lovely to see so many of our Inters and Company come and show their support in the audience! Great work guys! :-)

It's show week for Academy Kids Nate, Flo and Skye! They'll be appearing in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" this week at The Alban Arena with St Alban's Musical Theatre Company! Nate plays the lead role of Jeremy while Flo and Skye both play Sewer Kids! Have a great week guys! 

We are so proud of our Senior Darcy-Summer Hannan who is currently staring as Lily Potter Jr. in "Harry Potter and The Cursed Child" at The Palace Theatre in London's West End!

This year's course was bigger and better than ever! We focused on 6 different musicals including Mary Poppins, Waitress, Rock of Ages and Next to Normal! As always we finished off with a showcase of the week's work - well done to everyone who took part! 

Congratulations to Savannah, Belle, Jaxon, Mofe, Sophia and Zoe who represented The Academy so wonderfully at this year's Party in the Park!

A highlight of the year - The Academy Oscars! This year we screened 18 short films produced by The Academy Kids in their Screen Acting classes! The competition was judged by BBC Casting Director Laura McSwann. 

We welcome Voice Coach Helen to The Academy for an Accent's Masterclass - laying the foundations for several accents and teaching technique to help learn and perfect an accent. 

Our incredible Heather will be making her West End debut this year playing Marcy in "School of Rock" at The New London Theatre! Congratulations Heather, we couldn't be prouder of you and can't wait to come and see you rock it out!!! 

We are thrilled to be able to add "Broken Voice Singing" classes to our weekly timetable for our older boys! As the boys get older it is so important that they have the opportunity to work on songs and exercises to help them feel confident with the new pitch of their voices!

The Academy Kids donned Christmas Jumpers and we managed to raise £75.00 for Herts Young Homeless - a charity which supports 16-24 year olds who are vulnerable, in danger or homeless in Hertfordshire. 

Company member Anna had an amazing opportunity this Christmas when she was invited to sing solo at a special Christmas Concert at The Royal Albert Hall in London. Anna sang "When You Believe" from The Prince of Egypt. So very proud of you Anna! 

Congratulations to our Grads on a terrific production week of "We Will Rock You". Our Grads performed the show at The Pump House Theatre and did such a fantastic job! Thank you to all who came to support them throughout the week! 

We finished the year with our End of Year Prize Giving and Graduation ceremony. Our Upper School joined us at The Pump House Theatre for an end of year party and special send off to our 2022 Graduates! Grads 22 - we wish you all the very best of luck and will miss you all! Come back and visit us!

We were thrilled to be asked to perform in "Musicals in The Park" at The Arches Theatre this summer alongside a cast of adult West End performers! The Academy Kids performed 2 medleys - "School of Rock" and "Everybody's Talking About Jamie". True professionals onstage and off! Very well done to all involved! 

Our Lower School ended the year with their Prize Giving. Students collected trophies from 2020 and 2021, Faculty Awards, Event and Achievement medals and their star badges. We also announced our Lower School Student of the Year - huge congratulations to this year's winner our fabulous Inter Cooper!! 

So very excited for and proud of our fabulous Upper Juniors Ella and Max who both make their West End debuts this month and even more magical that they get to share the experience! We couldn't be prouder of you both and can't wait to come and watch! The West End is open again and Academy Kid are back in town!

The Academy Kids are back on stage! So pleased to have been to run our annual Singing Competition The Academy Factor again this year! We worked together with The Radlett Centre to ensure we could get our students back on stage in a covid secure environment! Congratulations to all our students who took part! So proud!! 

Our Lower and Upper Juniors spent their online Drama Lessons working on an original play written for The Academy! "Alice in Zoomland" sees Alice transported to Zoomland, a land where nothing makes sense, unbirthdays are celebrated every day and the wrong answer is always the right answer! 

So pleased to have made it back to the studios for the final 2 weeks of term! A lot of excitement to be back in the building and back together again! We'd like to wish all of our Academy Kids a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Here is to a very happy 2021 full of lots of exciting events and shows again! 

Our October Half Term Camp focused on Screen Acting. During this week long course students produced their own short films from scratch, working as a team to come up with an original idea and learning all about how films are made well as recreating scripts from popular TV Shows, and lots of Drama Workshops! 

We were delighted to be able to run 2 weeks of Summer Camp this August! The year's Camp was focused on putting together a streamed performance at the end of each week. Students worked on medleys from Matilda, The Prom, Come From Away, Hamilton, Hairspray, Everyone's Talking About Jamie and Spring Awakening!

Our fabulous Nate was asked to perform in an online Zoom concert with St Alban's Musical Theatre Company. Nate played Jeremy in SAMTC's "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" in 2018! He was the only teen performer in the concert and really held his own singing "My Shot" from Hamilton! Very well done Nate! Proud of you as ever!

This year our annual singing competition took place at The Radlett Centre! It was also our first year splitting the competition into Upper and Lower School! 

The competition was judged by West End Performer Stuart MacIver. Congratulations to everyone who sang! The level of talent on stage was incredible! 

What a wonderful way to finish of the term. We presented our Christmas Showcase at The Cube Theatre with 2 performances for friends and family to see what we have been up to this term! A great warm up for our Summer Show next year! 

The Academy's Hannah and Morgan were invited to perform a special cabaret at Barnet Hospital's Charity Ball for Dementia Care. Both Hannah and Morgan behaved like true pros all evening and wowed the ball attendees with their stunning vocals! Well done you two, so proud of you both! 

This year we moved our Summer Show to The Watford Palace Theatre. What an incredible weekend we had! A huge well done to The Academy Kids and a huge thank you to all our wonderful chaperones who helped backstage all weekend! Ending the year on a definite high! 

Inter Jaxon joins the cast of "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" at The London Palladium! Jaxon will be spending the summer working alongside Sheridan Smith and Jason Donovan and also features in the role of Potiphar! What an incredible experience to have! 

We were delighted to welcome Becky Herszenhorn to The Academy for this term's West End Workshop. Becky played Val in "A Chorus Line" at The London Palladium and put The Academy Kids through their paces in a wonderful Acting and Musical Theatre Workshop! :-) 

This year we were delighted to welcome West End Superstar Becky Herszenhorn to The Academy to judge our Academy Factor Singing Competition! Congratulations to everyone who took part! Becky is pictured above with the Winners of each age category and our overall winner Louis W! 

This year our Upper School Choir were invited to perform at Intu Watford's Christmas Lights Switch On! We had a special surprise visit from our original Head Girl Zoe! Thank you for coming back to support us Zoe, so lovely to see you again! :-) 

This month our wonderful Jaxon, Heather and Darcy-Summer are featured in "My Bushey News" - we're so thrilled to have 3 Academy Kids have made their West End debuts this year - can't wait for more adventures in 2019! Who will be the next Academy Kid to hit the West End? :-)

Heather has her final show as Marcy in "School of Rock" at The Gillian Lynn Theatre in London's West End! The biggest congratulations to you Heather! You have been a true professional throughout this whole experience and we couldn't be prouder of you! 

Company Girls Maddie, Hannah, Lucy, Ella and Kitty spent their Sunday in London filming a book trailer for new novel "The One That I Want" by Lynne Shelby. 

Fresh from the World Tour of Michael Jackson's Smash Hit "Thriller", cast member Courtney George joined us for a masterclass in Michael Jackson's ground breaking dance moves! 

We were joined by Caz from Breakin' Habit for a Break Dance Workshop! A chance for The Academy Kids to master their Top Rocks and 6-steps! 

28/02/2018 - The Academy turns 3! What an incredible 3 years we have had! We can't believe how much The Academy has grown and are so thankful to everyone who has helped make The Academy such a special place! 

A double Academy success tonight! Both our Creative Director, Sara and Academy Inter, Jaxon performed on this year's Royal Variety Performance at The London Palladium in front of HRH Prince William and Princess Kate! Be sure to tune in and catch the performance on ITV! 

Our Seniors and Company members took part in a West End Gala at Her Majesty's Theatre in London! The Academy Kids performed 2 medleys - "13 The Musical" and one from "School of Rock"! Fantastic work from everyone - a wonderful day! 

Our Seniors spent this term working on an original play "Memories" created for The Academy. The play tells the tale of 4 friends who visit a derelict house and find objects which link back to a memory from the past. Students performed 2 performances of the play at The Cube Theatre. 

We are absolutely thrilled to announce we have been chosen as Drama Studio of the Year for London & the South East Prestige Awards! Prestige said they chose The Academy due to the extremely high standard of teaching and all of the incredible performance opportunities students are givne throughout the year! 

During the Summer Term our Upper Seniors worked on the musical "Legally Blonde" finishing with 2 performances at The Pump House Theatre. Such a fantastic way to end the year! Our next musical will be "We Will Rock You" at The Pump House Theatre in November - we can't wait to get started with rehearsals in September!  

Our Upper School performed their Spring Show "Tonight Belongs to Us!" at The Radlett Centre. The show featured extracts from Moulin Rouge, Waitress, Aida, The Prom, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, High School Musical, Shrek and A Chorus Line! Huge congratulations to our Upper School on a truly fantastic show!

The autumn term for our Upper School was focused on Acting and we performed 3 plays in house - Our Day Out, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time and Shakers Re-stirred. Huge well done to all of our Upper School who did tremendously well working on the plays! 

Academy Kids Sienna and Skye had the opportunity to assist Academy Creative Director Sara teaching "The Next Step" Workshops at Pineapple Dance Studios in London! The girls helped teach original choreography from the TV Show and demonstrated throughout the workshop. Well done girls - fantastic job! 

Determined to ensure we managed to reschedule all of our cancelled events from 2020, we were thrilled to be able to squeeze in The Academy Oscars before the end of term! Students wrote and created their own short films which they got to view in a special screening on the big screen at The Cube Theatre! 

So thrilled to get our Dance Company Students back onstage in our Dance Showcase "Together". Students were finally able to perform all of the routines they'd learnt online during lockdown! It was so wonderful to see all of our dancers back onstage! All Government Guidelines and regulations were followed at all times. 

Absolutely thrilled to get back into the studios from Monday 12th April! So wonderful to be back together again! We are so impressed with the commitment and dedication our students have shown working online! Here is to an incredible summer term with lots of shows and events to make up for all the lockdowns! 

This February The Academy celebrates it's 6th year! We are forever proud of the lovely Academy community we have created and all that our students have achieved! We can't wait to be back in the studios and back on stage, creating more opportunities and more happy memories for our wonderful Academy Kids! 

Hooray! Another 4 weeks of online classes complete! Huge well done and thank you to all our Academy Kids for coping so well with moving back online! So happy we managed to included Drama online this time too! Our Academy community is strong as ever! Nothing stops The Academy Kids doing what they love! 

We were so pleased to be invited to perform in "Musical in The Park" at The Arches Theatre for Scott Coldwell Productions and Ultimate Event Dancers. The Academy Kids performed "Ex Wives" from Six, "Cross the Line" from Big and a mega mix from "On Your Feet". Our first live performance in 6 months!

We finished off our Summer Term with an online Virtual Show! Academy Students spent the Summer Term learning songs and dance routines online and then filmed themselves at home to be edited together for a special online performance, a wonderful way to finish the term and have The Academy Kids performing again!

Congratulations to our wonderful Max, Ella, Andjelija and Casper who competed in Watford's Isovision Song Contest on Saturday 9th May! The group sang "Making Your Mind Up" by Bucks Fizz and won both the public and judges vote! Their song will be played on Watford's Vibe 107.6! Congratulations Academy Kids!!! 

Nationwide school closures sees The Academy officially move online. We are very happy to be able to continue to offer regular classes to all of our students and keep them singing and dancing at home! Academy parents please keep an eye on your emails for all the exciting things we have coming up over the Easter holidays! 

The perfect way to end the holiday season - watching our lovely Lower Senior Sienna in "Cinderella" at The Radlett Centre. So proud watching this little lady on stage. She absolutely shone! Very well done Sienna! Fantastic performance! 

Following the success of previous performances at Intu Watford, we were thrilled to be the Performing Arts School chosen to perform at this years Light's Switch On Event! Our Lower Seniors and Upper Seniors both took to the stage performing 2 separate Christmas medleys! 

For this term's West End Workshop we welcomed James from the International Tour of Wicked! James was so impressed with The Academy Kids he said he'd love to work with them all on a regular basis and we are delighted to have been able to add him to our Faculty! 

Taking on Shakespeare at 13 is no easy feat! So very proud of our Senior Nate who has spent his summer playing Fleance in "Macbeth" at St Alban's Roman Festival Theatre - all whilst also rehearsing for our Summer Show! Fantastic work Nate - memories to take with you for a lifetime! 

Our lovely Company Girls Sophia, Maddie and Hannah were honoured to be invited to perform at this years Bushey Acoustic Festival and Summer Picnic in the Mary Forsdyke Garden! Such a fab afternoon of live music - well done girls on fantastic performances as ever! So proud of you all! 

Very well done to all of our Company members who took part in our production of "The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night Time". One parent said "Walked out feeling as though I'd been to a West End Show!" Congratulations Company! :-)

Logan has been hard at work recording the voice of a "Hugo" for a brand new video game coming out next year "A Plague Tale: Innocence". The game is set in 14th Century France so Logan not only had to match his lines to the virtual character but also perfect a French accent! Well done Logan!

We were thrilled to welcome "Chicago" cast member Olivia to The Academy for this term's West End workshop! The Academy Kids were given a masterclass in Fosse Technique as well as learning 2 routines from the show! 

Did you spot our Creative Director Sara on ITV's "This Morning"? Sara spent the morning at the BBC Television Centre filming several segments with Bonnie Langford who has recently joined the cast as Dorothy Brock! You've got until January 2019 to catch the show in town!  

Our lovely Senior Tom Dimbylow is hard at work in rehearsals for "The Sound of Music" with Radlett Musical Theatre Company! Tom will be playing Friedrich Von Trapp at The Radlett Centre this Autumn! Tom says he's having a great time in rehearsals and can't wait for show week!

This year's Summer Show took place at The Pump House Theatre! We performed 4 performances to sold out audiences! Congratulations to all of the young performers who took part! 

Well done to Maddie, Hannah and Sophia who all performed at The Inaugural Bushey Acoustic Festival on Sunday! Beautiful vocals girls - well done! 

Our Creative Director Sara performs at The Olivier Awards at The Royal Albert Hall and Broadcast live on ITV as part of the cast of "42nd Street". The show is nominated for 4 Olivier Awards including "Best Revival" and "Best Choreography". 

Congratulations to everyone for taking part in our Academy Factor singing competiton! Special thanks to our Guest Judge, singing sensation Victoria Goddard! Special well done this year's winners, Jaleesa, Casper, Logan, Jaxon, Oliver, Sophia and Brady! 

We were delighted to welcome "We Will Rock You" cast member Jenny Wickham to The Academy for a "We Will Rock You" workshop! The Academy Kids learnt the original choreography to "One Vision" and then had a special Q&A with Jenny to find out what life is like as a performer.

Taking a break from the UK Tour of "Hairspray", cast member George Hinson joined us for a super fun working, turning The Academy Kids into "The Nicest Kids in Town"! Students had the chance to learn original choreography from the show! 

Our Juniors and Inters took to the stage and spread some Christmas cheer to shoppers at Intu Watford over the weekend! They performed The Academy's Christmas medley 5 times throughout the day! Well done everyone! :-)
